Broaden Your Horizons

Each Spring, we look forward to welcoming seasonal employees from across the globe. Our bustling tourism season is from May through October, with the peak months being July and August. International staff are a valuable part of our culture and community. If you hold a J-1 or H-2B Visa and are interested in working on Mackinac Island, this page is for you. Let’s begin!

J-1 Visa

J-1 Visas must be arranged through a work and travel program. For more information on obtaining a J-1 visa, visit https://www.interexchange.org

We primarily work with Interexchange to hire J-1 applicants. To be considered for a position, you must contact Interexchange directly and apply online at  https://www.interexchange.org.

We receive numerous J-1 applications and cannot respond individually. Initial contact will be made through the Interexchange portal. We conduct Skype interviews with all candidates. After your interview, communication will be made directly.

H-2B Visas

Most positions start by mid-April and run through the end of October. We do not hire H2B staff for employment during the winter months.

Out-of-Country H2B applicants

We work with Adnil Services to recruit and hire out-of-country H2B staff. Applications received through our website or email will not be considered. Please contact Adnil Services directly at https://www.adnilservices.com

In-Country H2B applicants

We do offer H2B visa extension positions during the summer months, April through October. To apply email your current resume and desired position.

In your email, include your desired job. Positions available for In-Country Transfers include Housekeeping, House Porter, Restaurant Cooks, Kitchen Helpers/Dishwashers, and Groundskeepers. Details regarding positions are available at https://mackinac.jobs/jobs/

We conduct Skype Interviews for these positions. Housing is offered either on Mackinac Island or the Mainland (St. Ignace) for H2B employees
