Server’s Assistant Job Description
Perform any combination of duties to facilitate food service. Clear tables and assist servers in attending to patrons’ needs. Serve soups, salads, and desserts to bar patrons. Stock linen, silverware, and glassware in the dining room.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform duties to assist dining room staff
- Clear tables in the dining room
- Server butter, rolls, and water
- Stock linen, silverware, and glassware in the dining room
- Serve bar patrons’ appetizers
- Perform various tasks in the kitchen
- Responsible for set up and break down of breakfast and dinner tables
- Stock folded napkins for the dining room
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Ability to understand and carry out instructions
- Basic math and reading skills
- Ability to carry up to 50 pounds
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in stressful situations
- Must be neat and punctual
Reporting Relationship
Reports to Food & Beverage Manager and upper management

Required Dress Code Details

- Clothing must be the appropriate size (not tight, baggy, or ill-fitting).
- Clothing may not be ripped, torn, or frayed, whether naturally worn or added for decorative purposes.
- Pants must stay up on the waist and support themselves without falling.
- No yoga or cargo-style pants.
- Stitching or any other decoration must match the color of the pants.
- Pant legs may not be rolled up.
- Shoes must be closed-toe and non-skid. No visible logos. No color variations. No ballet flats.
